Today, I am thankful for the strength to resist temptation.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that several neighbors, probably tempted by the sunny and warm March weather, planted fragile annuals in their front yard gardens. I shook my head and murmured, "Too early." The lovely blooms did not survive last night's hard freeze and snow flurries.
I learn from other people's mistakes and heed sage advice when it comes to gardening. My gardening friends tell me repeatedly to resist the temptation to plant until May 15. And, so, I will.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
