My famous last words regarding rock climbing: There are no shortcuts to the top. Regardless of the route's ease or difficulty, I still need to make every move.
So, I climb deliberately, concentrating 100% on the problem in front of me. I aim for solid technique and good style. Maybe a touch of elegance when I execute a difficult move. And, no more complaints about high reaches and steps. The rock doesn't care that I'm petite and neither should I. After all, some of the best women climbers are my size.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
