Today, I am thankful for roasted chili peppers.
If soup isn't hot enough to make a grown man wince, it's undrinkable.
I love the very distinct, smoky aroma of roasting chili peppers. The fact that I am personally roasting "hot" Mariachi peppers straight from my garden enhances the experience.
What's next for the roasted chilis? They'll be the "secret" ingredient in my homemade black bean soup and spicy corn bread.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
