Dear God:
Today, I am thankful for a new mixer.
My old Oster mixer/blender died after over 20 years of faithful service. So, I've had to use an even older hand mixer when I wanted to make a cake or cookies.
After much looking, I finally found an adequate replacement. We didn't replace the Oster with the fancy Viking or KitchenAid I really wanted (can't justify a $500 appliance right now). Instead, we bought a heavy duty but sleek-looking Kenmore mixer that was on sale, online, with free delivery. I "baptized" the new mixer today by making a batch of oatmeal-chocolate chip-walnut-sunflower/pumpkin seed cookies bars. Very yummy.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
