Dear God:
Today, I am thankful for a peaceful and quiet morning.
Apparently, the workers who are turning our beloved trail into a housing development took the day off. Lucky for us. No annoying drone of heavy machinery. No perpetual dust cloud settling on everything. No diesel exhaust polluting the air.
Although I'm relishing the peace and quiet, I know that they are only visiting me on this very cold and breezy morning. By Monday, they will be gone.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
Amen.
