Today, I am thankful for remembrances.
A day of memorials.
The hours drain our emotions.
An ordeal most difficult for those who lost loved ones.
Yet, still uneasy for me, someone who simply watches and listens.
Tears, flowing freely, won't bring them back.
Memories, some vivid, some blurred, may soothe heartaches.
Columbine.
Virginia Tech.
I won't forget.
I promise.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
