Dear God:
Today, I am thankful for an ordinary day on which I basked in the glorious sunshine, read a few more chapters of a good book (Cinderella Man), wrote for several hours, finished three crossword puzzles, and sipped several glasses of cold organic apple juice. I also noticed that T, our chocolate Labrador retriever, reacted to the hot temperatures by taking one long afternoon nap. That's okay - he's just doing what comes naturally. I read that most adult dogs spend 70% of their day sleeping.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
Amen.
