Dear God:
Today, I am thankful to be alive. I mourn the tens of thousands of people who died in Southeast Asia in the aftermath of earthquakes and massive tsunami waves. We plan to donate to one of the relief agencies. Because we live in a global economy, we are part of one enormous family that spans the globe. In good times, we celebrate each other. In bad times, we take care of each other.
For this blessing, I am grateful.
